This handheld version is in the same spirit as its console cousins, excluding the graphics and the 3-D perspective. This version has four different backgrounds that will vertically scroll along with a plethora of colorful enemy ships. Players can upgrade to more powerful weapons including doubling their firepower by recapturing their ships that can be taken by Galaga command ships. However, this version does not have Challenge stages that its other versions have.

All the other space pilots have been eliminated. Somehow you survived. The Galaga enemies are on the move. Now, you must fight or doom Earth to extinction. There's no time to plan strategies. Just find your targets and come out blasting. Battle wave upon wave of alien attack craft in this dazzling 3-D edition of the arcade classic. Galaxian is a legendary single-screen shoot-em-up that took everything that made Taito's ground-breaking "Space Invaders" so good, and improved upon it on every level. Each screen starts with a wave of multi-colored aliens moving left and right at the top of the screen; the aliens quickly break ranks and start dive-bombing the Galaxip (player's ship) - either in single units or in groups of 3 - dropping multiple missiles as they descend. All of the aliens need to be destroyed before the player can progress to the next wave.

Galaxy Force II is a superb sprite-scaling shoot-em-up from Sega, in which a single player must battle their way through a number of superbly rendered, space-themed levels. Action switches between open space battles and planet-based levels; with tight, enemy packed tunnel sections (enemy bases) seperating each level.

Fly through the universe battling alien ships to make your way to fight the main Alien Battle Cruiser. Along the way, you fly across alien deserts, through tunnels, over alien cities, and get involved in a few "astro-dogfights" with enemy space fighters.

Galaxy Wars is a 2-D shooter where you are given three missiles to shoot at two rows of alien ships at the top. Miniature rock-like satellites move around the screen, ready to obliterate your missile at any moment, and the ships themselves shoot at you.

Taking on the role of the hero Nick Bluetooth -- straight out of the hit Fox Kids TV series, GALIDORTM: Defenders of the Outer Dimension -- players find themselves in an Outer Dimension on an action-packed quest to free friends who have fallen into the clutches of the evil tyrant Gorm. With the ultimate goal of finding the portal to GALIDORTM and ridding the Outer Dimension of its wicked ruler, Nick encounters many challenges and menacing creatures along the way. Armed with the awe-inspiring ability to "glinch" or absorb the attributes of enemies he defeats, Nick can fly, jump, grapple and navigate through his adventures.

Galmedes is a vertical scrolling shooter arcade game released only in Japan.. The ship has two types of attack: the standard firing weapon and a charge attack. Once the player collects all three weapons, the player can select any of those weapons during combat. On the alien planet of Gaston, a dictator named Gildy rose to absolute power. Gildy started a plan to take over his home solar system, but upon doing so, he decided to spread his influence. After conquering his home galaxy, the next galaxy that Gildy planned on invading was the Galmedes Galaxy. In response, the unified forces of the planets of the Galmedes Galaxy have created a powerful space fighter known as the LEPTON (Launched Electro-Projectile Thermal Osmotic Nullifier). Two pilots, Foo and Bar, are selected to launch the LEPTON fighters against the invading Gastonian Forces.
