Hire Hare is an isometric 3D arcade adventure where you take the role of Hecatia, a sorceress who needs to find her way around a castle and confront the warlock Lycurgus. Welcome to no holds barred hockey brought to you by the Video Hockey League. It's the Reds versus the Blues, the VHL's biggest rivalry. The same hockey rules apply, pass the puck around around the ice rink and shoot it past the opposite goalie to score. You can also check your opponent just like real hockey, only each character has their own bone-crushing way of checking, each with maximum impact and zero tolerance for your well-being. Players can also start fights with one another to really spice things up. For an additional credit, players can purchase a 'power drink' that will make them 'Skate Faster and Shoot Harder' at the start of the period for one minute. Now get to the action and DROP THAT PUCK!

A huge bee hive appeared on Earth and the inhabitants are less than friendly. The player's mission is to kill the queen by entering the hive with a special vehicle representing a grasshopper. The basic goal of each level is to find the exit which is is made more difficult by the maze-like structure of the tunnels. Three markers can be dropped at will as waypoints. Of course the player also faces opposition from various enemies and obstacles which can be either shot or dodged by ducking respectively jumping. There are also various items to find which are stored in an inventory until used, e.g. shields, enemy freeze or a grabber to reach objects from a distance. The grasshopper uses up energy which is either taken from pylons or the life force. Obviously the latter is not desirable because reaching zero life force results in death - so the player needs to find pylons inside the hive. When having two pylons, the life force automatically recharges. Two specialities of the game are the vector graphics and a password which is constantly updated and always on screen.

Ord and Clee are robots whose goal is to destroy you any way they can (by driving you against the boards, into a spinner, or by hitting you with a supercharged ball). Knock out Ord and Clee with your ball or by hitting them against the sides. Points are also scored by hitting the goal and hitting the targets on the sides.
