DARIUS
Darius is a horizontally scrolling shoot-em-up that was unique at the time for featuring a game screen that was three times wider than the conventional size, with the arcade cabinet utilizing three CRT screens to accommodate it. In the game, the player flies an ornate fighter craft called a Silver Hawk. The craft is equipped with two attack weapons: Missile (forward-firing standard gun) and Bomb (drops from the bottom of the ship). The Silver Hawk is also equipped with the 'Arm' (armor); a green energy shield that can absorb enemy attacks without harm to the ship.

DARIUS ALPHA
One of the rarest games for the PC Engine, Darius Alpha was only offered to those who bought both the CD and HuCard versions of Darius Plus (Which doesn't make much sense, considering how similar the two versions are). People who just couldn't get enough of Darius could now play another variation on the same theme. Darius Alpha is built on the same codebase as Darius Plus, but has been remodeled into a so-called "boss-fight" game, e.g. a game where you only fight the bosses of a game or game series. You start out with an unequipped ship and must take down the boss of the first level, King Fossil. Upon defeating King Fossil, you are granted some slight upgrades and proceed directly to the boss of the next level. And so on.

DARIUS BURST
Darius Burst for PSP is the first new entry in the Darius-series since G-Darius (released in 2002). The plot is set in Darius year 1904. Belser has attacked Darius, which had been revived by immigrants from planet Vadis. The game is now in 3D although it's still a left-to-right scroll-shooter . Darius Burst features a few elements new to the series: first of all, you don’t loose any weapon upgrades when you die. Second, there’s a 3-mode burst laser which is basically a revised version of the giant laser weapon featured in G-Darius. This time you don’t need to capture and sacrifice enemy units to use it and you may even absorb certain types of bullets with it. There are 3 silverhawks: “Legend” (the Darius Gaiden ship) piloted by two terminals referred as TI2 and two unlockables: “Next” (a next generation model) piloted by Riga Practica and “Origin” ship which is the original silverhawk, pilot unknown. Darius Burst is shorter than previous games in the series: there are 11 levels and 8 bosses total. The game features a number of unlockable trials ("Mission mode") and a “Burst mode” which challenges the player to complete the game with a single life. The soundtrack is composed by Zuntata, Taito’s in-house music band.

DARIUS GAIDEN - SILVER HAWK
In Darius Gaiden - Silver Hawk, the third in the sequel of Darius series; the player flies an ornate fighter craft called a Silver Hawk. The craft is equipped with two attack weapons: Missile (forward-firing standard gun) and Bomb (drops from the bottom of the ship). The Silver Hawk is also equipped with the 'Arm' (armor); a green energy shield that can absorb enemy attacks without harm to the ship. Some enemies leave panels behind that can be collected to power-up your shots, missiles or shield.

DARIUS GAIDEN - SILVER HAWK EXTRA VERSION
In Darius Gaiden - Silver Hawk Extra Version , the third in the sequel of Darius series; the player flies an ornate fighter craft called a Silver Hawk.

DARIUS II
Darius II is the direct sequel to the 1986 original, Darius II retained the distinctive 3-screen format of the first game. The power-up system of Darius II was changed from that of its parent game, with players having to destroy complete waves of a particular enemy to earn a power-up. 2 new power-ups were also added; the 1st was a new weapon power-up that gave the player green, vertical lasers, the 2nd power-up was a rainbow-colored item that powered up all of the players weapons.

DARIUS PLUS
Darius Plus when played on the SuperGrafx has enhanced sprite handing features which removes lots of the flickering issues experienced on the standard PC Engine.

DARIUS R
Darius R is a Japan-only remake of the original Darius for the GBA. It places you in the cockpit of the Silverhawk once again in order to defeat the forces of intergalactic fish threatening the galaxy in standard side-scrolling space shooter fare. Standout features include the use of the classic Darius level selection scheme that allows the game to branch in different stages and thus offer a series of different endings depending on what road you take. Unique for this GBA remake is the ability to play each stage individually (once you unlock it in the main campaign) in a level-select mode.

DARK ARENA
You are the leader of the special operations, and it is up to you to find your way out of a very sticky situation - a genetics lab overrun by monsters of every shape and size. Using your advance suit and weapons, you must shoot your way through the lab, destroying the evil creations and saving the lab, and the rest of the world, from total destruction. This 1st person shooter combines the many well known elements of previous games in the genre with an all out blast fest. A 4 player multiplayer deathmatch option is also on offer.

DARK EDGE

DARK RIFT
THE COSMOS IS CONTROLLED BY TWO PRIME ELEMENTS, KNOWN AS "CORE" AND "DARK". EACH IS POSSESSED BY A TYRANT WHO IS IN PERPETUAL SEARCH OF THE THIRD ELEMENT, THE LIGHT, WHICH WOULD GRANT ITS OWNER TREMENDOUS POWER. SONORK NEZOM, THE CARRIER OF CORE ELEMENT, HAS ORGANIZED A FIGHTING TOURNAMENT, WITH CORE ELEMENT ITSELF BEING THE PRIZE. HE HOPES THAT THE CARRIER OF THE LIGHT ELEMENT WILL BE AMONG THE PARTICIPANTS. HE PLANS THEN TO STRIKE AND GAIN POSSESSION OF ALL THE ELEMENTS AT ONCE. BUT LORD DEMON DEMITRON, THE CARRIER OF THE DARK ELEMENT, HAS OTHER PLANS...
IN THIS ONE-ON-ONE FIGHTING GAME, THE PLAYER CAN TAKE ANY OF THE EIGHT PLAYABLE PARTICIPANTS THROUGH THE TOURNAMENT MODE. ONCE THE SELECTED HERO HAS DEFEATED HIS OPPONENTS, HE WILL HAVE TO FACE BATTLES AGAINST SONORK AND DEMITRON. A PRACTICE MODE IS ALSO AVAILABLE. DURING THE FIGHTS THE PLAYER CAN USE STANDARD ATTACKS COMMON FOR ALL THE CHARACTERS - VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL PUNCHES, KICKS, RUNNING JUMPS, ETC. EACH CHARACTER ALSO POSSESSES AN ARSENAL OF SPECIAL TECHNIQUES, WHICH CAN BE EXECUTED BY PRESSING DIFFERENT BUTTONS IN RAPID SUCCESSION.

DARK SEAL
Fantasy hack and slash game in which up to four people can play at the same time, choosing from three stock fantasy characters (Knight, Wizard and Bard) and, for some reason, a Ninja. Players must then fight their way through enemy-packed levels, plundering treasure and avoiding the game's many traps. Gameplay is highly reminiscent of Atari's legendary 1985 classic, "Gauntlet".

DARK TOWER
Dark Tower is a simple yet playable platform game which is somewhat unique in that while the game itself is original (i.e. not a direct clone of another game) many of the game's component parts are NOT. See 'Trivia' for further details.

Live through all the high spots of the movie - the breathtaking helicopter fight sequence - the skyscraper shoot-out - dice with death as you swing into heaving freeway traffic dangling from a helicopter.
